We are seeking a qualified web designer that is well versed in Word Press and graphic design to do a conversion of an existing site, make some basis changes to enhance the site and add a shopping cart. Please have a few websites showcasing your work available.
WhiteBoard is a small business consulting firm and advertising agency. We has various web and design projects ongoing and are looking for a easy to work with reasonably priced resource which we can collaborate with on a regular basis. We will provide very detailed instructions and support to you.
Key tasks for project: www.northfieldfireplace.com (this is the site you will be duplicating)
- Create a Word Press managed site from the existing site maintaining a similar look and feel
- Add additional pages (site will be a total of 19 including existing pages)
- Add additional photos on various pages (we provide)
- Add keywords and metas (we provide)
- Add shopping cart (using a well known standardized cart of your choice)
- Enhance the look of the navigation
- Tweak the look of the home page header (spacing of graphics, etc)
- Create a new look for the child pages header, adding a static graphic.
- Add creative touches to enhance the look and functionality of the site
The client likes the look of the current site so we are not looking for drastic artistic changes, however we would welcome a designer's creativity to make the site look as professional as possible. The mistakes made by an inexperienced designer will be obvious, we expect you as the designer will be able to sort out the details of the site to make it clean, friendly and usable. Our client wants to be able to make adjustments to the site themselves thus the Word Press conversion. I can provide all files from the site if needed. We are adding a few pages and will provide all the copy and photos.
The child page header needs a graphic that will be a collage of a fireplace and grill, putting the graphic on the left side and the corporate logo on the right (35 year logo should be removed except home page).
I will be available in "real time" to assist in clarifying any of the work. We will want you to post the new site in a temporary location while we sort it out. We would like to have this done by January 26th. I am looking for a fixed price bid on this and understand that if we add a bunch of work you will get paid extra.
