Magento E-commerce Manager (Responsible Operating Manager)

Responsible for merchandising, ensuring that all pages, products,
prices & promotions on the site are updated & in line with current website
offers.

Responsible for the strategy on the website in regards to:
* Drive the development of the site and
act as the business representative for any development requirements -
including new projects and assessing the ability of the website to handle such
developments.

• Generating any company literature I'm asked to produce on an
ad hoc basis, company images, logos, footers, promotional images, design
elements, promotional slips and so forth. Or giving any other help technically
or non-technically. (We have the resource that you will be manager over)

• Entirely responsible for the overall feel and design of
the website and in partnership with IT company making the initial concept a
reality and developing that design in the future.

• Content management of the
site: to ensure online content is of a high standard and meets SEO best
practice and keyword requirements whilst supporting the brand identity and
development. Either write, edit, or manage any website content.

• On page
optimization in regards to SEO, creating perfectly optimized landing pages and
keeping up to date with the latest news in SEO in order to ensure our strategy
is up to date and implementing that strategy on site - and tracking the
results of those actions. Fully responsible for all website, blog and social
media SEO.

• Daily monitoring of our chosen keywords SERPs, understanding the
reasons for change and ensuring we move up the rankings. Ensuring our site is
easy to access for engines to crawl and index. Investigating, acquiring and
tracking link building opportunities.

• Monitoring our brand's search results,
social media remarks and web content to track success and monitor negative
comments, (Reputation management).

• Improving the size, depth and breadth of
our social networks to market to more potential customers and connections,
including new channels like YouTube, Google Plus, Quora etc. Act as an
advocate of these new media channels and manage the integration strategy for
these.

• Day to day website management, adding orders to a sales spreadsheet,
understanding and tracking changes in sales, dealing with any issues that may
arise technically or any customer service issues.

• Generation and delivery of
marketing emails, including creation of promotional images, the sending of
those emails and measuring / reporting on effectiveness of any marketing we
undertake.

• Ensure key people within the
business are kept up to date with progress reports, financial amounts taken
and any other news or information in a monthly report or on an ad hoc basis.


Talking to companies that can help move the website forward, - getting quotes
and promoting the idea within the business, relaying what I need to make the
website a success to management and ensuring that they are signed off. Then
seeing through those signoffs from a technical stand point, liasing with the
IT department to help get books on the site and in the right upload format.


Monitoring the PCI Compliance status, conducting the PCI scan online to
resolve any problems which arise from the scan. Along with ensuring our SSL
certificate is up to date.
