Looking for someone that is brutally honest, extremely fluent in English, brilliant, talented, hardworking, reliable, accountable, and someone looking for experience and to establish themselves in this digital world.
Pay will start off very low but will increase as you increase your worth.
I've had many experiences with assistance at various levels and I can say that language barrier is usually the biggest obstacle of efficient communication and productivity when working together. It's totally nothing personal, it just has everything to do with communication, so please refrain from applying if you don't have a college level comprehension of English. Again my apologies for that requirement, but it's better for both parties if there is flawless understanding of the tasks that will arise.
The tasks will be random in nature and will most likely require the person to work USA times. (PST) to be exact.... A lot of the tasks will be given spontaneously and will be expected to be done immediately. I will train anyone as long as they speak spectacular English, have a strong internet connection and know their way around a computer with ease. Please be good at using the computer also. Looking for someone well versed in a multitude of applications for the either the Mac or the PC.
Looking for someone with great organizational skills. Someone that knows how to order and layout data and information so that it is both pleasing to the eye and laid out efficiently. You do not have to speak without an accent, but that is a plus in case phones ever come into play. Again your accent does not have anything to do with whether or not you will get the position. I'll be able to tell in your typing ability if you'll be able to fit the description.
The following knowledge is not a requirement but it is definitely a plus:
I'm a flexible and reasonable person and I'm not a mean person, nor do I talk down on anyone, but I do have a very high standard when it comes to reliability, accountability and an eye for design.
I have a large list of clients with various needs.
At times you may be asked to proofread or edit a webpage or webpages for correctness including correction for formatting, arrangement, layout, grammar....or anything incorrect that is obvious. Knowledge of Skitch or any other software that can be used to sketch instructions and/or directions for corrections to be performed on a website. Knowledge of HTML is not a requirement but it's a plus.
An eye for design is a not a requirement either, but it's a plus.
This job is going to give you a lot of experience and front line exposure to a fast paced environment that will foster quick decision making and taking initiative to finish a project or task.
I'm definitely not looking to micromanage although I may check work diaries once a week or so. I'll be able to tell if the tasks are going well and I'll gauge how long we'll work together based on how productive you can be without constant guidance.
Please no bids over $1.25 per hour. They will be declined. I have done my fair share of throwing my money away in search of that perfect assistant and I can't invest more money into something that doesn't generate money for me. I currently do all of these tasks that will be expected of you, so I don't really NEED an assistant. I want one and will employ one for a VERY long time if I find the right one, so if you are the right one, then I look forward to working with you.
A good cover letter and response to this posting could possibly win you the position, so don't be afraid to flex your mental muscle and your mastery of the English language to peak my interests.
Thank you and good luck.
