Ecommerce - Senior PHP/Perl/Ruby/Python Developer

We are looking for a senior developer to solve challenges such as data mapping, price comparison, Amazon Turk integration etc. as they arise. Data management is a critical component of our business so we strive to make it our core competence and become one of the most sophisticated retailers in the world.

Most of the tasks we`ve already tried to solve internally and failed to do so in a cost-efficient manner. So, we are looking for people who are trained in multiple languages, can intuitively chose the best tool for the job and work in micro-cycles delivering tested modular solutions in 1-2 days intervals.

An ideal candidate has grown up on one of the classic programming languages like C++ or Java, has a strong algorithmic foundation, and a good knowledge of one of the modern scripting languages (Perl/Python). He has evolved past being committed to any particular tool, language, or environment; for him, whatever does the best job is the right solution. He's able to dive into something new and get up to speed quickly. Our platform is PHP driven so good knowledge of PHP is highly beneficial.

Qualities/traits required
- shoestring/ bootstrap mentality, extreme result/expense ratio
- ability to translate business need into technical solutions
- proficiency in PHP, Perl, Java, C++, Linux, MySQL
- experience with multi-instance/staging/virtualization
