My website runs Joomla 1.7
I have successfully installed AJAX content switching using this tutorial:

However when I edit the Joomla article, and add an email address and view the whole website, the website only shows the email address.
Basically AJAX Content switching stops working.
Please apply to this job if you have experience with jquery, and ajax and joomla.
