We are in the early stages of creating a dynamic website that will be user driven and provide educational service to a wide group of potential users. We have already presented our idea in several venues and received highly positive and encouraging feedback and we're looking forward to create a solid prototype to showcase VC's.
We have so far created a workable version with Drupal and we believe that Drupal has a lot of potential to get fast results. However we need a Drupal Expert to provide some fixes and implement modules for the functionalities we want. We understand Drupal enough to implement a lot of functionalities but we're not experts and we need some deep integration. The candidate should preferably:
- Have significant experience with Drupal 7, should have already implemented Drupal 7
- Understand AJAX, PHP and Javascripts so that tweaks and module changes could be made
- write custom modules if needed
- Work fast reliably
- Speak English well
Just to stress this point: We are looking for a Drupal Expert, not a PHP programmer who has also built CMS's with Drupal. You need to be able to demonstrate your knowledge and involvement in Drupal.
This job entails approximately 10h/week of commitment but it may go up or down. We prefer to work with smaller contracts and pay as work gets done. Working with a freelancing website such as oDesk is a plus but not necessary.
Design implementations are not part of this work, all CSS and layout work will be done by us. We have technically savvy people in our team who understand programming workflow so we promise not to be contractors from hell, but we expect clear and frequent communication.
