I have an Urgent Requirement from my Client, Located in Melville, NY. Duration is 6 Months Contract. This will be a long duration contract. Candidate must be local to New York OR must be ready to relocate.
In this position, candidate will work with other network engineers to design and support all of the networking requirements of this distribution company. We offer the ability to work with the latest technology installed in a state of the art Data Center and facilities all over the globe.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Research and develop the latest networking technologies: IP Video distribution, WIMAX wireless, Latest mobility technologies, Working through MPLS, BGP, VPN, etc.
• Create network topology designs and standards for the implementation and support teams • Provide level three support for all networking technologies on a global scale.
• The role requires that the engineer provide an (on-call) escalation level of support to the GNOC and Helpdesk.
• Ability to travel occasionally - approximately 20% annually
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• College Degree or equivalent work experience • 5-7+ years of Experience in a directly related Network Engineering role • Full working knowledge of Cisco hardware and software • Understanding and Experience of routing, switching, firewall and wireless technologies, CCNP Certification • Network analysis skill set.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Cisco QOS
• Experience with Sniffer
• Knowledge of Juniper firewalls and Aruba wireless • Experience with Cisco LMS, JunOS, Riverbed Steelhead, Blue Coat Proxy and KIWI Cat Tools
