We want a basic leave management process that is paperless.
It needs the abilty to do the following:
*Employee to log on under their login
*Employee to view leave already approved in their department (for other employees) so they can see if there is the ability to take leave before applying for it.
*Employee to apply for leave electronically
*an email goes to their manager to advise them leave has been appliued for
*A manager logs in under their login and can approve or decline leave (for the employees who report to them). They can also do the above when applying for leave themselves.
*an email is sent to the employee advising the outcome of the leave. It is also copied to the payroll person.
*The system is also updated with the approved leave.
*The system keeps a record of the leave history of all employees.
*The administrator can setup leave selections i.e annual / sick etc as well as public holidays.
*the software can be run either in a server environment or on the internet.
* MySQL as the database provider
*able to be accessed in following browsers (current versions) - IE8, Chrome, Safari, Firefox
